My Desk Project

Well, since my mini scrapbook is at a stand still I decided to go for a much bigger approach. I got to thinking about what furniture i had that was unused and needed desperately to be recycled by some of my go go juice. :] Keep thinking and thinking about couldnt bring anything to mind until I walked into Ellis's little brother's room and saw my old teenage years desk sitting in his closet. Let me remind you that I was a young teenager when I got this desk and I didnt care about anything other than letting people draw all over it. So I got to thinking and realized that we had about 10 gallons of white paint in the shop out back. THEN is when I got excited.
I quickly had Coy clean all his junk out of the little desk and I hauled that booger outside to be made beautiful. So for i have put about 5 coats of paint on it and the old writing and drawing is still fading through. So Ellis got me some Kilz (spell check) and so far, its not bleeding through. I got really excited, especially since I live with a carpenter, when I thought about adding onto that little desk. So with it being a lazy Sunday for us, I sat here and drew this up::

Its a rough drawing of what I want the desk to look like when its done. :] Ellis called me crazy but Im pretty sure he can pull it off. The only thing thats actually going to be added onto the desk is the top of the drawing. The part with the drawers is obviously the original.

So just to explain a little: I want the back side to be peg board so I can hang up scissors and anything else that has a hole in it. I want the shelves on the right side for storage; I dont know how many yet but I know I want at least 3 compartments. Maybe eventually Ill get a light to hang from the top of the large... empty space that has the peg board behind it.
I dont know yet; still a massive work in progress and if you are married or dating a carpenter, you know they dont like to work when they arent at work. ;]

PS!! I want to paint some sort of designs on it so leave a comment telling me what you think I should do!
