Today is better. =]
I have so much to share in so little time!!
First of all, I want to thank Melina ((from http://melinaborrero.blogspot.com/)) for inspiring me to make a mini scrapbook!!! I have devoted this week to putting it together. I had never even heard of mini scrapbooks until I saw her youtube video on the one she made on some of the things in her house... and I immediately loved the idea. So much in fact, I youtube'd some other people that had made mini scrapbooks and learned how to make them with little or no effort.
Im not sure what I want to do mine of yet... maybe family. Or like Melina did; devoted to her house; since we just moved into this one. Im really. not. sure.
BUT its coming along great and Im super happy with it!
Also, I just got done last night with the little boxes I made my friendsies for Halloween. I haven't taken a picture of them yet so they obviously arent posted. But they look really good and I will get pictures as soon as I rechard the batteries for my camera.
Sooooo, Im going to go finish working on my wonderful scrapbook and I'll see you guys later. <3
PSSS;;; go check out Melina's page. Im sure you'll enjoy it; I know I did! =]

Ahh, new stuff!!
These got me soo excited when I got done! I thought they were adorable beyond belief. I made the card for a friend about a week ago. I didn't want to post it until she got it. She got it today and loved it! The inside has "Have a Haunted Halloween" along with a little pumpkin I punched out with my scallop punch. This card was extremely simple to make and I think it turned out great!!
The other... pouch I guess you could call it is just a replica of a pack of orbit gum. I saw someone do it on youtube the other night and immediately wanted a pack of orbit!! This one is also extremely simple to make! Just trace the pack of orbit that you bought and cut it out. I added the ghost by just cutting him out free hand and used one of my craft scissors for the yellow strip. You can add a little note on the inside along with come candy; which makes an awesome halloween gift for friends.
This next card is just something I whipped up about midnight for Ellis's weekly going away card. =) I used Best Occasions cardstock, my butterfly punch, my dolly lace punch, and a little peice of embroidery yarn. The butterflies are put on with dimensionals; I just folded their wings up a tad to make them look like they are flying. Totally simple and adorable card!

I just wanted to share the photos I took yesterday while i was outside playing with our beautiful dogs. I don't know what it was about this pile of mushrooms that got my attention so much to make me take a picture of them, but they are just look phenomenal to me.
I'm glad I got the picture when I did because this morning when I went out the squirrels had eaten all but the big one in the center. And I didn't even know that squirrels ate mushroom, until my brilliant man told me. ;]
This next picture is of Jack Daniel, our Alaskan Malamute. He is the biggest baby in the family; every time we go outside, he wants to be loved on. He was my Christmas present 2 years back when Ellis rescued him from our local humane society. I really have no idea how anyone could have given this dog up! He is so smart and gentle... even with kids pulling on his fluffy tail. He should be used to little kids though; they swear he is a 'Snow Dog.' =D
And finally this is Spot a.k.a. Spotacus. Ellis rescued this puppy from a guy that was moving and was going to just put him on the street. He is such a good dog. I don't think he has a serious bone is his body because he is always playing around with Jack; his best friend. Tonight we had to search for them all over creation because they had run off together. We found them at our local haunted house getting powered doughnuts from the guys setting up for Halloween; a mile and a half from home. He likes to chew on everything and lie around in the sun all day but I wouldn't ask for him any other way!

Dud...
The blog I wrote on October 3rd is a dud. I tried it out for the first time last night and it just didn't want to do right. Instead of doing everything by inches, it would probably work better with centimeters.
On the lighter side of the fence, I got an empty pack of orbit gum, traced the outline of the pack, glued all the pieces together like the original pack; and it turned out wonderfully. That, however wasn't my idea at all! =)
I saw someone else do it and immediately wanted a pack of orbit. It turned out really swell and would make an awesome bite-size candy bar holder for Halloween. I haven't taken any pictures yet but as soon as I do, you'll be the first to know.
PS;;; Thanks for all your prayers and support because my dad is doing a lot better and is at home now! I went to see him today and he is getting around great and isn't so confused anymore. I know my week just has to get better from this point!!! =D

The Waterfall Card

When I first saw Kim make this card, I just knew that I was going to fall in love with it. And I did. This one is my first test run; just to get the feel of everything. I made this one out of mostly construction paper and I hand drew everything on it. I decided that Ellis is my card guinea pig so he is going to be the receiver of this one.
This card is actually really simple to make! I think the hardest part for me was trying to get the blue squares perfect on the white ones. =)
Anywhoo, this isnt my creation so Im going to be giving the credit to Kim Burmeister. Her youtube channel is http://youtube.com/stampfest and she does some of the best tutorials! I think her blogspot is http://clearlyinspired.blogspot.com so go check her out! She has tons of goodies on her page and she is sooo creative!
So, I hope everyone is going to have a good and safe weekend!

Summer days are about over...
But, this is what really lets you know that you had a great summer. I was so thirsty outside in the yard one afternoon, so I came inside and made a cup of icy blueberry kool-aid. I couldn't help but notice it was the prettiest cup of kool-aid I have ever made. So, I got my camera and took a picture of it. Now, I know this isn't exactly a project but isn't it just lovely? It makes me think of summer. ♥

Here comes Halloween!

I kinda came up with something else I think might make a cute little gift. A gift card holder!! Its pretty plain right now but that leaves a ton of room for improvements. I think I still might stick with the candy holder plan I did the other day. I like this one though because it has so many things you can do with it.
Base card: 4 x 9 inches
Score at: 3 7/8 and 7 13/16 inches (or close to it)
Front black piece: 3 3/4 x 3 5/8 inches
Incisions to inside for card: 3/4 and 3
Spider's body: 1 inch circle
Spider's legs: 1 1/2 x 1/8 inches (or varied, like I did)
Spider's eyes: I free handed but you can use a punch if you want them both the exact same. And just use a black marker for the dots in the middle.
Spider's mouth: Free hand with a black thin marker.
I used a pair of scissors with a bite mark edge for the bite mark effects. I did this one with construction paper but I highly recommend doing it with cardstock for best results. I really needs to buy some bigger cardstock.
So I hope this one is as fun for you as it is for me. Feel free to share yours. =)
So much to do!
So tonight I bring forth lots and lots of goodies! I'm sooo excited to share them all with you guys. I know I haven't been doing too many crafts lately, but with my dad like he is; I just don't have time anymore. BUT he is finally coming home so I'll be able to get back to what I love!! Thanks for all your prayers.
So on to the good stuff. =)
A couple days ago, Ellis made me a temporary table to do my crafts on. Its really cute and I hope he can make me a better one just like it. (=]) But I sat at it and for some reason I feel the urgent need to decorate something to set on it for my scissors and little bags and stuff. And this is what I came up with:
BOXES! I cut out a ton of 1 inch strips and just started gluing them all over these cute little boxes. I absolutely love them both. I like them together although the longest one in the back has a little angel stamp on the bottom corner of it that is just darling. These are super duper easy to make. All I did was measure (in inches) the perimeter of the box. Then since I was doing the strips in inches, I cut however
many inches the perimeter was. Actually, I think I cut a few more just in case i screwed something up. =) The smallest one took more time because I didn't really have time to prep it as much as the other one. Plus the other one was a lot thinner and easier to work with. My cat obviously adored the second one. She slept in it just about all night and the next day. She likes the little table that Ellis made for me too! I think she takes after me. ;)

Halloween Treat Holder
I haven't actually made this project yet, but I thought I would share the template I came up with last night so you can do your own thing with it. Its pretty simple to do. I drew the entire thing and tried to make is as easy to understand as I could with Paint. As soon as I do mine, I'll post a picture of it!
I hope this helps some of you; if you are anything like me, I have the hardest time trying to find little gifts to give for Halloween. I don't want it to be too much and I don't want it to be too little, but I want it filled with lots of fun!

Fold out card
-Your pink base card is 12 x 5 inches.
-On the front, the two brown pieces are 4.5 x 2.5 inches.
-The square in the middle starts at 1.5 x 1.5 inches and is taken down .5 inches each time you add a color.
-On the inside, the brown piece is 4 x 5 inches.
-The pink and final piece is 3 x 4 inches; I also used my craft scissors for the two edges but obviously thats optional.
Feel free to comment with the card you made. This is such an easy project; anyone can do it!! I thought about stamping greetings or hearts on it but I thought it might take away from the simplicity of this card.
If you have any questions at all, feel free to email me at itsamberroonie@aim.com
Thanks for stopping by and I sure hope you enjoy this project! =)
Welcome to my NEW blog site!
It seems like i keep changing sites and changing sites but I think this is finally the one that I'm going to stick with. After tonight I will be able to put up some cards and my videos for all you to see. Don't worry about my other site, it will soon be deleted. This was exactly what I was looking for.
So, if I get around to it, I will be putting up the past 2 cards that I've done; and I'm thinking about re-doing the tutorial I have already made. It sounds too airy to me...
Thanks for stopping by guys!
PS;;; don't forget to take the poll I have set up to the right. I will snap to it when the poll is over. ;)
